Slowly starting to increase timing

So, I've been slowing adding timing to the LSJ's tune. Looking for something that's completely knock free on pump gas. Been basically adjusting the High Octane timing map up a degree from about 3500-6500, then adjusted up from 6500-7100. Lots of logging. No knock so far, but on average I've only gained maybe .5 degrees of advance, feels slightly different, but nothing concrete. I made the tune slightly more aggressive and will test again this evening. Can't wait to get to the dyno and test all of these different things correctly, for power.

Do you have something to work off of (like a Stage 5 reference) or are you flying blind?

A little from column a and a little from column b! I have some people giving me track tested advice as well, so I have guideance, but still flying a little blind. Dyno day is coming.

Nah, I logged quite a few runs looking for any signs of knock. My timing is quite a bit lower than the person giving me advice, or the Intense tunes (I assume anyway, have not seen one yet).

I also know that more timing doesn't always = more power, so I'm not just gonna crank it through the roof and scan for knock either.

what does it look like in comparision to mine.

I get like a 0 in second, like 0.5 at 6600 in 3rd, then like 3 spikes in 4th topping at 4degrees.

I don't think I'll be able to run more timing with HP Tuners. I've already got Knock in 2nd, 3rd and 4 at WOT. Up to 5 degrees on 92 octane. I might have to take timing out?

a mustang i watched get tuned had a parameter for the timing advance it made it go no more than 30+

the tuner said you dont want advance for FI applications

it was a blown stang, and he said for boost to go up timing should go down a little, in NA apps timing is power with boost you need to let it down a bit.
