What is it and what does it do? How much different is it then the HP Tuners kit? Intense kit's? GM kits?

It is a piggy back system that you spilce into your factory wiring harness and it fools the stock computer into adding more fuel. It's very different than HP Tuners, Intense, or the GM kits becuase they are all complete retunes of the computer.

you don't want a piggy back. get the hp tuners and you have all the tuning power you need.

I had VERY bad experience with the revitup box. my idle was surging, car was back firing, and it would cut all power as soon as my car went into boost. after they heard me complaining about the problems, they stopped answering my phone calls, they kicked me off of their forum site after I gave them a bad write up (and deleted it), the story goes on. whatever you do, DO NOT GO THROUGH revitup!!!

The RIU box couldnt "cut" all the power to your engine. LOTS of people were using it last summer to great success. IMO you must have had something else wrong (installation??) Either way both RIU and INTENSE have moved on from "piggy-back" type controls, now that there's a firmware based tuning solution. i.e. HP Tuners
(Although I do beleive BOTH companies are still selling their piggys/translators should you choose to go that route)
But Piggys are a dying breed for the LSJ- nothing really wrong with em, just a result of "natural selection" I'm afraid.
So to the original poster I would pursue that avenue with professional tuners in your area.
