So maybe the touchscreen wasn't such a good idea

Sure, it looks cool. And it's great to just tap on the screen to change things... but the glare is pretty terrible.

Isn't there a anti-glare thingy you can buy for laptops? I am sure I saw one around when I bought mine...but maybe I am smoking crack and not evening knowing it.

Yes, but that would interfere w/ the function of the screen.

I always thought, since your inception of this idea, that it wouldnt work as well as it seemed. Although it is a cool concept

Haha, seeing a laptop on the passenger seat is a familiar sight.

I have a mini power inverter plugged in the rear cig lighter port, and i ran the wire through the crack in the seat.

The resolution on that is crazy. I would love that for when I got home to look over the runs, but while I am driving, it would be squinting to see some of the PIDs on the graph or the gauge display.

That's only 1400x1200 or something. On a 12.4" screen. You can't see it for shit from the driver's seat, but a passenger can monitor EVERY sensor.

The other laptop I use is a 1920x1200 15.4" widescreen. The width of the datalog is incredible.

My laptop is such a POS I can't even run any of the scanner windows while scanning! I just have to have the blank scanner screen running...

Man, you NEED to upgrade! The data screens are the main reason I bought HPT. They're excellent!

Here's a screen shot from my other laptop:
