Innovate XD-16 Standalone (w/LC-1) Kit arrived!!!

So, is there anything I need to know about how to install/wire this puppy up?

Spooner hasn't done this yet, right? How 'bout WOP?

Manual says have the bung installed anywhere between 10-2 o'clock position ahead of the cat - did I understand that right?

Just skimmed through the paperwork briefly...anything else I should know/do when I take it down to the muffler shop?

Is it not possible to simply put it in place of the stock 02 sensor, and then have it send a 1v signal to the PCM?

Wop is the expert here, as usual.

I dunno...I figure it's easier to have someone weld a separate bung into the exhaust, rather than risk screwing up, one more thing for the computer.

mike - so, did I read everything right as far as calibrations go...I have to install it all and do the CALs THEN take it down and install the bung sensor? (something about needing clean air to do the CAL)

well you can have the bung welded in. I took mine to midas and the did it for like 20.00 bucks. the bung should have came with a plug so that if you want you can unhook the sensor and drive with out having an exhaust leak. when you calibrate it yes it has to be to the ambient air. because your gauge calibrates by reading the amt. of oxygen in the ambient air. its like 21 % or sopmething like that. with that being said when your installing it the last step should be actually screwing the o2 sensor into the bung.

just read carefully and dont skip anything. youl be ok.

one more thing be sure that when you start your car to have power to the o2 sensor at all times if you dont you rin a very high risk of burning the sensor out very quickly.

I do have a plug with my kit, so I'm good there! What switched power source did you use?

Install tomorrow...

Ok, so the bung is welded in and tomorrow the sucker's getting wired!

For those that have done this already...what parts/tools were necessary to get the job done?

I'm making a run to Napa/Autozone/Pep Boys first thing in the morning to get some conduit to wrap the wires in and whatever else I might need.

Please help with my shopping list...

1) Small diameter conduit/shielding
2)
