Gonna flash PCM for first time.. Need some help....

Gonna flash my PCM for the first time.. Using Dans custome 60lber and 2.5 tune.. Was just curious as to the process.. I just connect the MPVI to the computer and then to the obdII port and then click on flash and then what? I just wanna make sure Im doing it right, it didnt come with any instructions.. Anyone care to help out reall quick?

Dans tune has 2 files... I only need the .hpt file right?

there is only 1 calibration file, the other is a scan I guess. its a .hpt yes

I'm not so sure that you can just flash your car with Dan's file. I think you need to compare his tune to the one on your car and then copy his changes over to your file. Then flash the car. Especially since his is a 2005 and yours a 2004.

At least that is how mine was done.

Im learning that now,..Thanks to alpha...Only problem now is its saying I have to reguister and I already did..

LOL problems are solved.. The issue was I was trying to load Dans tune on my car, and I think it licensed his vin # and used 2 credits.. No worries I can buy them back.. Just sucks.. And its a total noob move.. Im starting to get used to everything a lot more in the short time ive been playing with it.. Im no running Dans 60lb and 2.5 tune and it feels pretty damned good

Doh! Yea, you have th have a license for the file you want to use. Didn't you register all the model years, how did you guys set it up?
