Running Dans tune but....

Okay so Im currently running Dans tune for the 60lbers and 2.5.. So Im curious to find out if the car with my mods of 2.8, Intake, header, exhuast, throttle body.. would run better with the stage 1 tune and the 42lbers. the car feels strong, but not as much as I expected...hmm any thoughts or ideas?

which injectors are you running. if you have the 42's in there the car is going to take a nose dive in the upper RPM range.

Do you have a 2.5 or a 2.8 on? I know you have the 60s, since I read your signature, unlike fullthrottle, just kidding.

I read his sig its just that the post he made it sounded to me like he said he had the 42's in there.

Well that could explain a lot. With the 2.5 you see a LOT more torque!

Get a 2.5" on there and you should be happy. It messes with the a/f that dan has set up on there running a 2.8 when it is set for a 2.5.

You're pouring tons of gas in there with the 60s when it is expecting more air to mix with the higher boost and everything. 2.8" you hit your 18psi around 5000 or so...with the 2.5 you can hit it around 4200-4400rpm.

I'm debating the 2.5....

So Will I see more gains.. with the stage 1 tune and 42.5lbers? I guess Im worried I will run way to lean.. But I guess its trial and error?

well lean is mean and you would create more power theoryretically but. you run the risk of running too lean. I dont know if you remember but I mentioned something about trying that as soon as I had my stage kit installed. but I think it would not make power throught the whole rpm range due to lack of fuel. im not 100% sure though. shit when we tune ill try to run my stockers and see what happens. I got a good air fuel gauge.
