I don't see why the 2.4 would be "easier" to crack than the 2.2, especially considering that every other 2.2 PCM has been cracked for ages. I don't get things sometimes.

I'm not sure that it's easier at all, its just that they CAN'T do all the cars, so they have to pick and choose. Don't forget the 2.4 is what's in the Sky and Solstice as well... they have to pick and choose at times.

I doubt there are enough 2.2s wanting the software at the moment to justify a "high priority" position on the list of cars to be added.

I suppose they have to pick and choose, but I can't see how the 2.2 would be much different to do, either. So, when you already did 95% of the work, you might as well finish the other 5% and add it to the list, especially considering how many 2.2's there are out there.

It's a completely different operating system. Several for each variant. It's just a matter of time. If you don't have the time to do all of them, then you have to do less than all. From what I've seen of them, when it comes to choosing, they will choose to exclude the least performance oriented of the groups till the end, if they add the support at all.

Until recently, they didn't even deal with 4-cyls...

Oh well... I don't have a 2.2 car anyway... So I'll not worry about it.

It's not that the 2.4 was easier. According to Chris, the only reason the 2.4 is supported at this time is because it uses the same ecm as some of the v8 engines HP Tuners was working on. So it kind of got a free pass. He also said there is still a possibility that the 2.2 would be supported.
