I ordered my Dual Interceptor and I am wondering if it is possible to mount it right out of the box or if I will need to buy something extra for it. If I do have to buy something to mount it any suggestions?
Thanks

I put mine in a dual a-pillar mount that I got off of eBay. Since there are no holes in the Red Line's dash, I supose you will have to buy something to mount them in.
I just ordered mine and will hopefully be here by the end of the week. I was going to buy a universal 2 1/16" pod and mount it where the comp pkg ladder tach would be on the steering column. I'll probably run my wires down the steering column and through the dash to the OBD port.

You can also go another route with the pod if your up to it. The panel that is replaced by the competition package guage pod can be removed and you can have either you or someone you know make a replica of the competition pod. In my opinion this is the most professional looking route if you don't want to fork up the cash for the competition pod. The only thing your loosing out on is the 3 shift lights which are surprisingly quite useful and easy to setup. Your choice man.

Actually, right now, I am fabbing up something to go on the steering column, dual pods. I didnt just cut somehting else up and then screw it on like a lot of people have done. I actually fiberglassed it in, and it is looking really good. Right now it is sitting outside drying with a coat of paint. It needs some more touch up before I put more paint on it (and texture to match the res of the car's interior). I just needed some paint so that the rough spots and pits where more visable

Is this the one that Alpha told me about with the shift light in the center? I want to fab up something like this. I'm curious to see some pics when you have some.

I left the part in the center hollow so I can mount a shift light when I finnlay get one. I also am debating wether or not to build my own shift light with one of the pic18 controllers I have laying around. That way I can make it a ladder tach like the comp pack. But that is 2 weeks from now probably. I'll post pics of the gauges in when im done, probably tomarow.

Sounds good. If I take on a similar task, I will use LEDs for the shift lights. I figure, I could buy a cheap unit that taps into your tach sensor and just hardwire it to my needs.
