Side note:

Had to set the sample rate of the NB LC-1 out out to 'Instant' response to get the PCM to not set a CEL for slow response or slow switch speeds...

You can also get improved resolution/accuracy using the LM Programmer software to reconfigure the LC-1 linear operating range to 10-18 AFR then alter your linear equation in HPT (or Interceptor) to *0.625+10

Can someone give me a brief how-to for this. I am NOT using the EIO HPT. I know I can get a read out of the AFR from the cable with out it, but how?

I need to wire the analog 1 from the lc-1 to the stock wiring, and also system ground to the stock wiring. Then obviosly ground to ground, and 12v to switched 12v.

Is that it?

Will it's output to the PCM be high enough resolution to tune from (convert the 'nb' voltage [which is now a wb] and convert to an AFR)

You can't use the NB for tuning, because it is forced to work JUST like the stock one, ie. On/Off. So you're still screwed for that. You can use the LC1's digital output and connect that to the laptop, it comes with software like HP's scanner that will connect to, and log, the LC1's output.

As far as using it with the non-EIO interface, ya got me there... I'd check HPT's forums and see if it's any different.

ok, The thing is, it would eb 'nice' to be able to log it alongside everything like RPM and such.

soo.... could I make analog 2 output 0-1v, but have a linear rate, and connect that to the second o2 sensor, then read that as WB output? that way HPT can log it. I would have to disable the CEL for the rear o2, but that's no biggy as I plan to go catless soon anyways.

I don't get what you're doing here.... the 1v is for the car, the 5v is for HPT... why do you need two 1v outputs?

because I have the satndard HPT interface. SO if I use the 2nd o2 as an 'input', I can log it in HPT.

Does that make sense? If HPT can get rear o2 volatge, then I can give it WB info over it.
