if you really are getting gas milage that bad, PM sheek360, he had terrible gas milage too, and i cant remember what the fix was.

also, try using the search feature, might be able to find somthing related to bad gas milage.

and sorry for all the smart ass answers, we dont take much seriously round here.

32 mpg from a charged Ellis Juan? That has to be a record.

The highest I've gotten out of this Redline is 33mpg, but that was 100% highway driving. I average low 20's. Once you step on the gas, you REALLY kick your fuel economy in the jimmy.

Talking

make sure that your car is serviced regularly[oil change/air fiter check/change],proper tire inflation, remove excessive weight from the trunk[bury the bodies....dont drive around with them]....also pull away from lights at a moderate pace, dont follow too closely[braking all the time and then speeding up will kill your mpg]...just a few ideas...colm.

I had a post earlier.. I live in hollywood which is all hills and stop signs every 50 yards or so... I get at BEST 17-18 mpg... I usually see the low fuel warning at about 165 miles sucks but oh well.... we'll see if removing the cat helps at all

I see 27-30mpg all the time. I used to get 32-34 on the highway when I was stock. It's all about how you drive. A lot of mine is crusing 55-75mph not much city driving at all in my trips.

Did you pull out of your garage to the interstate, drive to where ever on there and get off from it right at destination? 32 mpg with normal driving sounds kind of extreme with s/c ls1 but maybe that just me? My friend has an ls1, gets around 20-23'sh

A "gash" [as you called it, why no pics damnit!?] in your gas tank tends to lower your fuel economy just a tad bit...hahaha

I get 23mpg in the city, never more than 2lbs of boost [stock], almost never over 3000rpm's [only if I have to accelerate hard to merge..which is like never]. On the highway I got 36mpg during one "stint", though my overall average was about 34/35 mpg.

I've tried shifting at around 2300 but I find it gets worse mileage as the car "struggles" more to accelerate than it does when I shift at 3k. As a result the car uses more boost [where when I shift at 3k it almost always stays in vacuum/0/ >2lbs]

Yeah but that takes most of the fun out of driving the car, maybe get a pos that gets just as good of gas mileage and only take the car to the track or something.
