Dyno tuning

Having my car dyno tuned Aug. 10 by New Era Performance! REALLY looking forward to a solid 260 WHP, or who knows maybe a bit more if I can avoid the 04 curse. Their shop cobalt puts down 270 with the same mods I have plus a header and exhaust.

Good luck. A header is a VERY important part in that equation. The stock one is real restrictive....

Good luck. Post up dyno sheets when you are done.

You can avoid the 04 Curse by not using an 04 tune. That's the only handicap an 04 has over the other MY's.

So when he dyno tunes it with HPtuners it will no longer have the "04" tune right. hah thats a dumb question, of course it won't. I forgot to mention, they are putting 60's in as well.

I plan to get a header right after I get tuned, have the damn O2 sensor CEL shut off, and pass inspection. I have been rocking no inspection since May. Can I pass a NYS inspection with a header? If not, can I go extrude honed OEM and get near the same results?

Header should not matter about inspection. But it will chang everything of you install it AFTER tuning.
