I've just orderd a Stage II kit, now what?

excuse my noobiness to the compact world, but my last car was a 1973 chevy nova SS.

I just orderd a stage II kit, when I get it... Do I take it to my local speed shop and just tell them to install it?? or do I ask them to do something with it afterwards like TUNE it to the kit?? I dont know?? does it need to be tuned after?? Whats my best way to go about this installation?

hmm they didn't explain what you bought where you got it?
Stage 2 = injectors, pulley and pulley hub, drive belt, STAGE 2 TUNE!
the work can be done anywhere the tune has a authorization code that the dealer will use to reflash your car.
Don't drive any great distance w/ stage 2 parts and a stock tune. But short distance to the dealer has been done.
Get a labor quote from any shop first to compare

so i actually was getting ready to post the same exact thing! but my question is after its installed and we take it to the dealer will we need to go to hp tuners and get it tuned or what now?

the tune authorization code is included with the stage kit... when you take it to the dealer they will program your pcm with the stage tune, but will still charge you labor for the flash

awwwww, do i REALLY have to take it to the dealer, b/c wont the VOID my warranty??? and they charge up the ass, can my regular speed shop FLASH the new code in??

and so i ask them a HP tune?? lol sumone smack me for being sucha n00b

ONLY a dealer can do it. BUT, it does NOT void your warentee... that's the beauty of the stage kits.

I am assuming you're talking about the GM stage kit...

It won't void your warranty, since it's a direct GM Performance part, made specifically for your car. The dealership is the only one that can flash the Stage 2 tune.

does the dealer need one of its tech's to install the kit to approve its warranty? or can I go somewhere else for that? ( i guess i cud just call saturn and ask these questions but my jaw is wired shut right now and im curious )

ID ALSO LIKE TO MENTION THE KIT IS SELLING AT 425$ ON EBAY, get one while you can! the seller is planning on raising the price soon because he feels he's giving too good of a deal and trust me, HE IS!
