Here's some pics of the stock boost gauge unit. Very clean in my opinion. It replaces the entire top cover of the steering column. On the rear are some adjustment dials and you can also see where the factory harnesses connect.

Guys
THE FACTORY HARNESS IS NOT AN ISSUE!!
<UPDATE>
BUT
AT THIS TIME
The factory BOOST GAGE WILL NOT WORK in the 04's , THE LADDER TACH WORKS FINE

The only "trick" is running a pair of wires to the ECM and adding them to the ECM connectors into currently empty cavities (boost out/staged shift rpm). All the boost gage requires then is B+ (switched) GND and a connection to the IP dimmer.If someone has purchased this gage they can PM me for wiring details and the terminal part numbers and locations to connect to the ECM.
BUT
What has yet to be determined is whether the 04 ECM is outputting these signals to the gage. UPDATE TACH YES- BOOST NO - STILL LOOKING FOR A WORK AROUND AS OF 6/20/05

Here are a couple of questions from us sad sacks that do not have access to gm teck line...

1) for the "05" non comp, is the wiring harness complete or would you need to make connector changes to C1 and C3?

2) for the "05" is the wiring harness complete for the fog lights? If so, is there a BCM
flash or is one even needed for the fog circuits?

Thanks,

Mark

P.S. headed for the dealer this PM to pony up for the gauge assbly....

No the wiring harness isn't complete. You will have to run the wires for the boost gauge/tach lights yourself. I have no clue about he fog lights.

Maybe? Interesting... maybe it's in "bar" like most European gages.
