Fog light wiring

Does anyone know how to go about getting wiring for the stock fog lights. Can you buy it any where?

not sure what you're asking.

are you trying to install a factory fog light housing into a car that didn't have them before?

if so, then make your own harness, because you need to use your own switch anyway.

you'll probably want to buy two H11 sockets with pigtails and a couple spools of 18 gauge wire and a relay and a fuse.

Yep that's exactly what I'm doing. Have you done it before? I'm not really savy with electrical stuff. The only electrical stuff I've done is install a head unit and a sub that's about my extent.

Where would the best place to get the connecters, relay, and fuse at? Is this a difficult job I shouldn't try to attempt without someone with some experience?

try your local auto parts store.

it wouldn't be that hard to wire it all up.

a 20A spade fuse with holder should work well.

you might want to get some crimp-on connectors too.

sometimes stores will sell a fog light install kit. it has wires and a relay and fuse and a switch.

So I got 40ft 18g red wire, 40ft 18g black wire, rocker switch, 12v relay, fuse holder, 20A fuse, weather proof butt connectors, zip ties, and the stock pig tail for h11 bulb. Did I miss anything?

you want some spade connectors to attach to the relay terminals and to the rocker switch. also, some ring connectors for battery positive and negative connection. i again like to use the weatherproof ones.

you might also consider an "add-a-fuse" so you can control the relay with accessory power rather than straight battery power. then there's no way you can accidentally leave the fog lights on and kill your battery.
