HP Tuners credit system? I'm confused...

Ok, I've read their FAQ on it. http://www.hptuners.com/credit_faq.html

Perhaps I'm not fully awake yet, but I still am having a bit of trouble understanding how this is gonna work.

Looks to me like each credit is sort of an unlock for more of the program. For somebody who's only using it for 1 car you don't have to buy thousands of dollars of software that will work with hundreds of cars. As that link states inside you just have to pay and order it and they'll unlock more of the program for you.

I could be wrong but I think credits are so it can be used on other cars as well. You need to have say a credit for your car. Now you still have 7 left so you can also use it to tune 7 other cars depending on what they use in terms of credits.

It is confusing. Zinner has this and I am hoping he can explain this in layman's terms for us.

You pay 500 bux and you get a cable and 8 credits.

You use the credits to register your car, it's 2 credits to register a single VIN and 6 credits to register a single model/year.
