it doesnt align with the rl holes. it u drill the holes for the cobalt spoiler it will cover the holes already made for the trunk

When you say drill holes for the cobalt spoiler, do you mean drill holes in the spoiler itself or drill holes in the trunk?

Into the trunk.

Although, why anyone would remove the RL aero wing for a Cobalt aero wing is beyond me. I'd bet that the insert would fit either one.

Being the wings are different dimensions, they wont fit. Someone on here already tried because they wanted to fit that center piece onto the RL wing. Just look at the end pieces, I don't believe they have the same end pieces even (I don't have the aero wing, so forgive me if I'm wrong).

I'm not a huge fan of carbon fiber, but that insert looks hot on the SS wing

Now as for going thru the trouble of trying to swap to a Cobalt wing & then buying the carbon fiber insert/blade.....that's a lot of work/time/money

The Aero Wings/spoilers designed for the SS & the Redline look right on those cars

Swapping them to the other car wouldn't look right IMO (like redline3104 found out)

Cuz our decklid is wider than the SS decklid so each spoiler is different lengths to compensate

yeah i found out the hard way, lol. however if u do put the cobalt ss spoiler on the rl deck lid, the spoiler will cover the original holes from the rl spoiler so its all good. i personally prefer the low deck spoiler out of them all for 2 reasons.
1. i can actually see outside my rear window
2. cars more aerodynamic w.o the spoiler in my opinion. the aero spoiler flops in the wind which may cause some resistance. heres a pic of what my rl used to look like with the cobalt ss spoiler
