Hah... So after a few MONTHS of waiting around, I finally ordered and received the OEM lamp assemblies from www.gmpartsdirect.com

And of course they took forever.

I was able to get the relay and the lamps for a pretty good discount from them though so I can't complain too much.

I do have a couple of useful part numbers for those that are interested...

These are for the service pigtails for the dash mounted fog lamp switch and the lamp assemblies themselves...

Dash Switch Service Pigtail - 12102900
Lamp Assembly Service Pigtail - 12085498 (You'll need two of these)

I should have everything up and running either tomorrow afternoon or Saturday... Heh... As long as I've had the logic circuit built, I'm pretty excited to finally try it out and see if I built it right.

Mark, hope you remember how it works!

Finally got everything installed and running...

First off, another BIG thanks to Mailmars for starting this thread, and for all the R&D he's put into making these things work on a non-fog equipped RL.

The logic circuit he designed and posted the schematics for works flawlessly. If you read through this thread, you'll find all the part numbers you need to get the OEM fogs in your 04 / 05 RL. (I think the '06 has them standard, bastards...)

The lights look great, and perform well. Very bright... I couldn't be more pleased.

For those that are intimidated by making a logic circuit, don't be... It's really not that bad at all. Integrating the wires needed for the fogs into the fuse box is a snap as well. Just make sure you get the right terminals from a GM dealer, you'll need 3... (Tangless 280 Series non-sealed Female)

Although it is a bit pricey to do this (Roughly $300) you can't beat the aesthetics of a factory look. I'm far better equipped to hlp now that I have done it myself, and Mailmars has been a huge help to me. I'm sure he'd be more than willing to assist anyone, cause he's just that kinda guy...

With two of us around to help folks out, I'd love to see more people getting OEM fogs. The really are that much better!

I'm working on it, your posts with part numbers and so on are a huge help to me. I already have the fog light assemblies installed, I need to make the logic circuit and wire it up.

As I previously stated. I already have the fog lamp assemblies installed. Now I have to build the circuit, but I need to order the parts for the that. But as for the GM/Saturn parts go I need to order a few things. Please tell me if I am missing anything.

Fog Lamp Switch 22666418
Fog Switch Pigtail 12020299
Lamp Pigtail 12085498(comes in a package of 2?)
3... (Tangless 280 Series non-sealed Female)

Is that it?, or am I not reading all the previous posts correctly. I'm not including the parts for the mailmars homebrew circuit in my list.

Thanks

12102900 Dash Switch Pigtail - www.gmpartsdirect.com - $21.03
12085498 Lamp Assembly Pigtail - www.gmpartsdirect.com - $13.33
15328866 Fog Lamp Relay - www.gmpartsdirect.com - $5.46
22666418 Fog Lamp Dash Switch - www.saturnparts.net - $25.00

Don't know if you have the relay already or not... Sounds like you're wiring directly into the fuse block, so you'll need the OEM relay as well. The Tangless 280 non-sealed female terminals is correct. You will need three of them, but get a few extra just for good measure... I still have a few that I can mail to you but they are for larger guage wire, like 12 - 14AWG. You can smash them down with crimp tools though... Most GM service centers should have a whole box of various terminals. There are about 5 different varieties of the tangless 280 females. Just get the one with the smallest opening on the crimp end of the terminal. They SHOULD let you rummage through it, not like they use them all...

The lamp pigtails (12085498) are packaged individually, so you'll need to order two.

The part number you have listed for the switch pigtail is incorrect, make sure you get the pigtail listed above (12102900)

This probably doesn't need to be said, but just in case, you'll also need a 15A Mini Fuse...

Good luck, you're almost there!

Digging up a slightly old thread, but I'm having a hell of a time finding this answer, without actually going out and looking at my car. Its freaking hot out. I'm not going out there if I don't have to.

What size are the actual OEM foglight bulbs? Sylvania only lists the "Ion" on their website, and I don't think that the QC and RL fogs are the same.

I'm going to be upgrading to silverstars, and didn't want bright white headlights with yellowish fogs.

Would Dam or Mail be interested in making pre fabricated kits like amishland did for the boost gauge? If so let me know, I'd be interested in buying a kit for the fogs.
