HVAC plate cover ??

Instead of buying the Black Cat Custom face plate, can you just color the backs of the plate whatever color you want so that the light shines through in that color?

Couldn't harm anything to take it out and try? All you have to do is grab the 2 air vents and pull I believe. In theory your idea makes sense lol.

Yea I'm go try it with a thin coat of light blue nail polish WHICH IS NOT MINE.....lol

I just figured I'd post here before I spent 35 bucks on a plate that they change the back color of the plate...I'll let you know whats up...

^^ take a gander at my edit lol, if you look in the similar threads, located at the bottom of this page, you can find some threads that relate to what you're doing, but it looks like it will be a real PITA to do it.

Hmm, if you can buy the plate, you have to remove the old one anyway....so while your at it paint the black blue or whatever...

I'm not changing the lights, just the color behind the plates....
