my fix for trunk issue......

i have now went and installed the 3m clear bra on my car..... i love these can hardly tell they are there and they work awsome we have been installing them for a while.... anyway.. look to see who installs these in your area and usually they will keep all of the scraps... what i did is get a scrap piece and trim it to approx what size i needed then its like putting tint on spray some soapy water on the top of the bumper after cleaning it really good and the apply it to the top of the bumper. smooth it out to get the excess water out from under it and trim it carefully to fit using a sharp razor... just dont go to deep.. maybe not easy for all of you but i did it you cant tell its on there and this stuff is super thick and when it gets nasty from the trunk lid if it even does peel it off and apply a new one....... should only cost about 20$ to have someone do it for you. i have had it on for a week or so with no problems and like i said they are super clear you dont even notice it unless you are really looking for it.....

GJ Z!
I'd like to see how this "wears" over the next few months. In any case it would a lot less noticable than those clear "stickers" LOL

I just doubled up a couple of clear round bumpers. Placed them on each side, and in the middle. Now whenever the trunk is forced down, or bumper is forced up, the two don't touch at all. No more scraping. The bumpers stick on, aren't noticeable, and don't get dirty. All for like $2

This was after I took it to the dealer to have them fix up the damage by repainting. They didn't think about putting anything on it to prevent it, and I didn't feel like bringing it back in the future and go through the hastle and waiting again.
