Just so everyone knows, on the 2007 Ions with the Sport Appearance package, we don't have the mounting studs to use the wingnuts on that come in the package from CustomCargrills.com We have the advantage of having all the mounting holes there and putting our own screws in to hold the mesh on.

UPDATE: I got my grill mesh installed, will post pictures when salt goes away and car is clean. I used #8 Stainless Steel screws 3/4" in length, and some washers to hold the mesh. I bent over all the edges just to make it look better from underneath. The mesh came from customcargrills, and does come with wingnuts for the 04-06 Ions, but 07's have holes instead. The self-threading screws hold really tight and the washers hold the mesh in place, much better than the washers. Took me about 15 minutes to do the total job.

Let me check my box, I don't remember if I saved them or not.

EDIT: I do have the bag of them still. What do you think is a fair price?

For $30 I would imagine even I could install this piece myself...dammit I hate missing a sale and should have checked here first!

But they are putting it in black so it matches the sides where there is a little mesh/grill detail. I saw the pics on this thread, some guy has silver but his car is silver but it doesn't look too out of place.

I will definitely post pics when it is done.

[Edited to Add: I just picked up my car. The grill looks good. It's a shiny black mesh. I have to admit, now I realize it is not worth $100, but it's better than $165 the dealership wanted. Oh well. Now what to do with the front plate because you can barely see the mesh since it's kinda hiding it...]

I got these for $30.00. I installed them myself very easy 15 minutes and done. If your interested. PM me I'll get them to you from my buddy's shop
