Good rim cleaner

So it finally seems that this winter is dying down, and with that comes the new spring wash. I went to a local car wash to rinse off the salt from the winter on my car to realize that the front two rims have tons of black tar/brake dust all over them. Some wheel cleaner, a power washer, and a brush didn't even help me to clean it off. Does anyone have any suggestions of a good product that will remove this crap and make my wheels look shiny and nice again for the spring??? Thanks!

The Balls

For the brake dust I use the Mr. Magic eraser things..work wonders. There's some tar I'll need to tackle this year, but haven't done anything about yet.

In the paint shop when I have to clean alot of tar to paint like say, a rocker panel, I remove all the tar with a solvent cleaner, like Wax and Grease remover. If it's really bad, I use laquer thinner (available at any autobody supply or even home depot)...just be careful not to get sloppy and saturate /spill too much on the other parts of the car that your not cleaning.

I just use eagle one wheel cleaner. Let it soak and use a stiff plastic brush.

I bought this new stuff from Michelin called brake dust repelant. I just put it on sunday. I will post a review when I get some results.
