Because nobody has discussed them for a while, and both at the meet, and at the Saturn dealer, I was asked about these, so I figured I'd make it a sticky in this section as opposed to lost in a 1000 other posts.

Ok Im a little slow in modding my Ion....Its been 18 months of pure joy and Im ready to do my first mod.

Is the Elite stainless QuickLift from: http://www.redlinetuning.com/index.html worth the extra $40 or is the E-coat black set the better deal?

I went with the cheaper set mainly becuase I wanted the black struts. I haven't had anyproblems with them yet.

I got the black ones as well, mainly for looks, and SatredL sold them to be at a discount. They rock. I think the benefit of the other ones are longevity and such, so we can't really tell ya! Mine seem like they're gonna last forever, they are no where close to straining to life the hood up, and I only raise and lower it once a week at the VERY most.
