I still can't believe they did that. The corporate DOHC v6 was right around the corner. Why GM, WHY? For all that's Holy, why?????

It was a trade. Honda makes crappy diesel motors, GM makes great ones. GM makes some crappy V6's and Honda makes a great one...

Still sleepy with the enemy. I could have forgiven toyota. They've been in bed long enough. I don't know many people getting better MPG from a V6 than the 3100/3400 corporate ones. My uncle AVERAGES 31 MPG with his impala and lives in Milwaukee.

I feel ya, but that 260hp 3.5 is a nice motor... I find it real odd too. However, it should mean there's some upgrades out there for it. Or at the very least, he can check into how Accord owners attempt to mod the 3.5.

Good point. There's plenty of modded Accords around. I'll still take the 270 horse 3.6L, it's the perfect combination of the LSJ and LS1 ideology.

i will search the honda stuff then. but if you guys run across anything, let me know.

one thing i can think of right off the bat is the weird way they made the intake tube make that hard u and then go all the way back over the top of the motor to the air box. a straight shot air intake design would probably make a nice difference in power but i am not sure if there is room.
