I think the plastic panels will be too thick for "normal" magnets. I bought some rare earth magnets from Think Geek: ThinkGeek :: Curiously Strong Magnets

If someone has a guess on the thickness of the door panels, I'll try to find some plastic of similar thickness and try it. I'm not sure the ones I bought will do it either. There are larger ones out there.

I would guess off hand that the plastic is 3mm thick.
