Tires Tires Tires size help

I have an 04 ion rl stock wheels, tirerack says 215/45 17 are the right size. Will 225/45 17 work also?

yes...for tire calculations go to...miata.net...then click on tire size calculator.

that first number is the width of the tire in mm. There's actually a tire sticky that explains it in detail...

I searched for it, but no luck. So you are running the 225's on your stock wheels? I might be buying some tires from the guy in a different forum and what to just be 100% sure that they will work.
