Clutch issues

Hey there I need some input so I just went turbo swap and even with the blower after a hard boost pull my clutch pedal was going super stiff and was hard to get into gear , now it does that but if I boost when the clutch pedal is hard itís just slipping , after I pump the pedal it goes back to normal but sometimes is real spongy any ideas ?

No problem.

GMPP = GM Performance Parts. In this context it refers to the clutch kit. Get it at CED ( Crate Engine Depot )

LNF = LSJ's younger brother, not as cool.

CSC = Concentric Slave Cylinder, also known as a TOB ( Throwout Bearing ) - A GM mistake that we all have to live with. A good concept, but like most GM parts, is built by the lowest bidder.

So if you get the GMPP with the LNF CSC ( or TOB ) from CED, your LSJ will be down with OPP, G2G, and DTF.

Will that clutch be up to the hp Iím running , currently with my s257 and running right around the 400hp mark and planning on turning it up more next summer once the block is built. I was thinking about the clutch masters stage 4 with an aluminum flywheel plus the lnf tob and a few other goodies whatís your opinion on that setup keeping in mine my end goal is near the 450-500hp

My GMPP has been fine for over a year at 400+.

I don't have any experience with Clutch Masters.

I don't recommend an aluminum flywheel. Everyone I've known with one eventually had issues.

Rebel is right on the money. Especially if you are pumping up the power. Aluminum just can't handle it. You don't want to yank out the trans again.

I'm at 120K on the stock clutch, and hoping I sell the car before I have to replace it and the trans which grinds on every 5th gear upshift.
