Redline Owner22 Mine did 13.5's all day long...now my basically stock evo is doing high 12's with a intake and exhaust. Should be fun this summer getting some other goodies

nothing except 99mph. A bit fast for stock but not unbelieveable. His nickname when registered is STG2BALT. I have a feeling he was a stage II during his run.

the fastest official stock time:

1.)Tofu,[email protected] w/2.00 60'

Done on low pressure tires different than factory. He says they aren't drag radials but no one gets a 2.00 on stock 18" tires thare are not a R-rated compound on a FWD car. the closest 60 foot in the stock list is 2.19 the others are all 2.2+
They were stock tires, just lower tire pressure. I cut a 1.9 60ft at HMP (1/8th mile track) on the stock rubber too. But that was years ago...I don't even own the car anymore.

Flytrap I don't know if I would even bother. It seems that the guy running the 1/4 mile thread on the cobalt forum "Bad06SS" doesn't care to be nice. He has flat refused to post any Ion numbers and times. This is a few PM's I sent him over the last week.

Original PM to Bad06SS:

I couldn't help but, notice that you, AlphaJaguar5, and lancer off the Redline Forum have come to an agreement on posting Ion numbers in the Cobalt SS 1/4 Mile List. I saw that lancer had posted the combo thread.

If all this is true please add my new time to the 2.4L Modded Section:

Flytrap 13.928 @ 104.19 w/2.24 60' I/H/DP/STS/HPT/N2O[80]/ST

Thanks and have a great day,

Response from Bad06SS:

To be completely honest with you, I hadn't made that agreement. There really hasn't been that many requests for it, I've only had two. Since there hasn't been that much interest, I didn't think it was worth keeping up with. Is there more interest in that than the two that have PM'd me?

My response back to him:

My bad... I guess I just assumed that when I saw the thread on redlineforums.net with both Cobalt and Ion times I took it that you guys may have been friends in some way. Sorry...

There actually would be more interest, it's just that it's been already posted on our forums that you guys would post our dyno numbers but, would not post our 1/4 times, so the Ion guys stopped trying.

Well... whatever you decide. I just thought it would be nice friendly competition and a nice way to cross relate our forums, since we do have a lot in common. Hell... I have Cobalt Addiction parts on my car. lol

Since then he has not and looks like will not ever post any Ion (including Redline) times. Maybe if we can create the interest he's looking for, then we can change their minds.

teamenvy95 Just wondering, it seems most of the cobalts have a few mph on the rl. Are the ions heavier or something else to make them a little slower?
