golden chicken flog away, spooner. Last track day I did was around 90k miles on the car and soon after a stage 2 upgrade.

Sp00ner There's a chicane at Blackhawk that's REALLY fun at about 65-70.

Definitely alot easier on the car as well. I might come out for a few this year, as I've been a touch worried about flogging the car on a full road course with 81k miles.
Think this one is at least 70 mph

It's a good starting point for someone trying to learn though...I had never driven a FWD car to it's limits before and it was a completely different experience than RWD. Hitting an apex is still hitting an apex and I'd rather learn at 30-50 mph than 80-100 mph. Smooth is still fast and learning to look ahead is one of the first things you learn in autox.

Then there's the little things like left foot dead pedal, keeping hands in the right position on the wheel and right hand only on the shifter when you need to shift.

Not to mention, I don't go through a set of pads every event and my tires aren't shot yet either (although I'm ready to shoot them)

I will get on a road course but I want to sure both me and the car are set up.

How do you fare against other smf cars?
In the 3 events I ran last year, I was the only SMF car in our region. There were a couple other events that I didn't run in where there were two guys running. If I ran in those two events, I would've won the class, lol.

I'm also still running General Exclaim UHPhphphhhhh Can't wait to get my Star Specs!!!!

I was about 7 seconds slower than SMOD cars on Hoosiers on average. Hoping to pick up 3 or 4 seconds this year. Here's the Chicago Region event schedule as promised...

ARM Fw region has "SMS" which is the same as smf but requires a street legal tire with i believe a 140 or higher treadwear rating.
