Usually 3, 4, and 6 mm depending on which hoses. Silicone on anything that doesn't flow oil or oil vapor.

ok

silicone - good for the evap hose and boost lines ?

the one that is bad - connected to at the center near the fuel rail or above the super charger - and goes to the right side device next to evap solonoid valve - (on the same bracket)

so I got around to replacing the 3 vacuum hoses - Got red colored ones - wow I am cool now

I also figured I would replace the boost solonoid being I was cutting the hoses anyway.- It took some time to figure the sizes of the diameters and lengths etc .... not a bad job for the 1 st time

also replace my TB seal

the process of getting those hoses was a little pain for someone with little knowledge of them
I guess for anyone you have to be careful to cut the hoses especially around the boost actuator

So in the past 2 weeks did the following work:

Cleaned TB
Cleaned MAF
New EVAP solenoid
New boost solenoid
New red vac hoses
New TB seal

The hoses were hard and needed it

I notice a growl now
