My opinion (and yours?) on New Posi-Quiet Brake pads and Goodyear F1 235/40/ZR17's
This is more of an FYI with my experience on with the Pads and tires. I know several people have looked at these tires, but I haven't seen a thread with anyone who has put them on yet. (I may have missed it) So just thought I'd share.
Well I now have over 40k on the car and 20K was in the first year.
So after almost 4 years, I started hearing the warning tab on the front brakes, I bought the Posi-Quiet from Dezod. Great pads, no issues at all, no squeaking. Don't even notice they were changed. I did not have the rotors turned, I don't think they needed it. Didn't touch the backs. Moving on!!!
First tire change from the stock Dunlops. I bought the Goodyear Eagle GS-D3 F1's 235/40/ZR17 off ebay. Paid about $345.00 with shipping and sales tax.
They fit fine on the stock (comp) rims. They had more problem getting the old ones off than putting the new ones on, and in the process they (Sams club tire dept) damaged one of the rims, with a pry mark across the polished lip. So I'm trying to get that taken care of with them.
I'm lowered on the Progress springs and their is no rubbing or other issues. Great tire, enough that even my wife noticed the difference the tires made in traction.
I don't think I'm the first guinea pig on these ebay tires.
But either way, I would recommend them if you need tires, great price on a great tire without any fitment issues.
Of course YMMV.
2005 Onyx Ion Redline w/comp pkg - one of a kind!
2008 Bluestone Sky Redline - new to me
