I didn't pick yet lol. I think ill be getting a variance of your hankook sir so your donation to this thread was much worth while. Ok so if I go 235/40/17 I should be good then I hope?

edit, discount tire doesnt have the hankook in stock, so i guess im going with the falken 912, 225/45/17 to be on the safe side,

235/45/17 fit just fine, I havent tried 235/40. 245/45 might rub a little when you turn your wheel as far you can, it depends on the tire theyre not all the same size. My last 245s barely rubbed, my current ones are not rubbing. I believe for 245/40 you'll need 17x8 wheels due to the shorter side wall not being flexible enough to fit the smaller wheel width.

But the tires you stated above should be good. 225s feel more responsive than the 245s in corners.

hm interesting, thanks for the input, yeah i had to go with cheao so the 225 is alot less than a 235/40 which is also an odd size apparently, i guess ill get some fatter tires when i get 18x8 wheels if i ever get the money for that lol

I actually just put the 912's on my car about a week ago and love them. It rained and i got on it with no wheel spin. Huge upgrade over the hankooks that were on it.

imo, there's no point in plus sizing tires if you're compromising on all-season tires.

however, for reference, 215/45/17 goes to 225/45/17 and 235/40/17 where 225/45/17 is slightly taller and therefore will affect your speedometer slightly. 235/40/17 is pretty close to 215/45/17 but it's a weird size.

the V12 is a summer tire.

in 225/45/17 at tirerack, your best two bets are probably the bfgoodrich a/s and the continental dws, both around 115 each

wider means worse traction in snow, fwiw

Thanks guys for the help. I'm currently getting new tires installed. So I'm set for now. Just went to 225 not a large increase in size.. the summer wheels/tires for next year will be some summmer only tires like I said 18x8. Don't know tire sizes for that setup yet, and I'm not sure what id do for offset either...
