Pedders coilovers are unfortunately not a direct bolt-on, IIRC. 3-bolt mount on the coilover for the camber plate and RL uses a single bolt to shock tower. Someone else can explain more fully.

The thought is pure ambiguous

What's our definition of not cheap? The $1699 that they cost off the shelf or even more than that?

Hopefully someone can chime in about bolt on.

Pedders (Cobalt Spring) Everything from CED and Qwik
I bought every piece new. It ran $900
Qwik makes you the spacers

Parts listing Cobalt
A STRUT ASM/FRONT; A STRUT ASM/FRONT (FE5); Z STRUT ASM/FRONT; ZF,ZG,ZH,ZK STRUT ASM/FRONT; ZS,ZT STRUT ASM/FRONT;. Fits: 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt LEVEL 4 PERF/SC (SS) 2 DR | Nalley Buick GMC Brunswick

Parts listing ION Front
A STRUT ASM/FRONT (FE1,FE3); AP STRUT ASM/FRONT (FE5);. Fits: Cobalt, Pursuit | Nalley Buick GMC Brunswick

Parts listing ION Rear
A SUSPENSION/REAR;. Fits: Saturn Ion | Nalley Buick GMC Brunswick

Illustration Front

#10 (Cobalt)
#9 (ION)
#8 (ION or cobalt) The new cobalt one stays in place easier, the ION was is cheaper. On each side of the bearing you would put one spacer from Qwik.
#7 (Cobalt)
#6 (Cobalt)
#5 Pedder
#4(ION or cobalt)
#1 (ION or cobalt)
#2 (cobalt)
#3 (ION or cobalt) FE5 is cobalt naturally

Illustration Rear

The rears are the same install as ION springs. Make sure that the rears look like a beehive or they are upside down.
You might have to lube up the bottom post and #10 to push it into the spring, but the car's weight took care of it for me.

My car topped out at 140 miles per hour, this morning.
I need NOS. Two of the big ones, and I need it tonight.

There were questions of whether or not to use the ION top strut mount nut, but the ION's didn't grab enough thread so I went with the cobalts that had more meat to it.

^^ weird. #10 "cobalt" didn't thread down enough on mantiskungfu's car. we had to reuse the ION one.

Q: What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
A: First, you screw. Then, you bolt.

Exactly! Now I don't know if it is between years of parts since mine was brand new Cobalt struts or the new OEM ION strut mount, but fortunately for us you have both pieces to make that decision no matter what the little differences are.
