Clay bar is literally a bar of clay that takes fallout off of the car. You can get it anywhere.
2 buckets: one for soapy water, one from rinse off your cleaning tool before going back to the soapy water. Glaze will fill all the haze marks and such. Polish is a hard finish that will protect the paint. Wax doesn't last long, but is a finishing product to bring out a deep shine.

that's a lot of steps - i'm sure it works ....

but my only concern is that the Saturn plastic might not take to professional

clean , shine, and buff at its worth

I know that that the hood responds better to my efforts - possibly the

roof but I am usually tired by the time I get there to do it to right to

an area where no one looks.

roof and hood are metal correct?

I just watched a utube vid on the clay bar

I will try the clay bar - I have never even heard of this

I guess it is what the detailers do ??

For me its the time and energy to do the job

that gets in the way

Also one issue I have with my old IRL is if I clean too much I

see more imperfections - I'm like now I see all the scratches and holes

That is where the glaze and wax come in. I even use a color match wax that is black.

Cool

I might try some experimenting with some paint

bought the touch up paint - but I am throwing it out because

it has a statement:

California says its not approved and causes all kinds of health issues.

I may try acrylic paint - see what happens -

possibly a paint marker -

hood, roof, front part of the trunk are metal, which is still irrelevant....

if you follow my steps, your car will look brand new... one of my biggest pet-peeves in life is a dirty, gritty car. i just bought a new car that was "detailed" and spent roughly 3 hours on the paint, which is a quick job for me.

Cool

Well I have improved a little more on some areas where I have not

gotten too - some scratches and areas where the paint fell off - on the front

bumper - good thing this is not metal because there's no rust --

I painted over and for the time

being it looks good hopefully it absorbs into it -- -

---

hoping it will stay warm for a while - would like to try the clay bar

procedure - thanks
