1/4 mile times using G-Tech last night......

I finally got the oppurtunity to check my 1/4 miles times last night.

I only did two runs.

1st- 15.32 @ 98.5 mph (crappy launch)

2nd-14.63 @ 103.3 mph :D

I was REALLY happy with that second run I did. Great launch and shifting. After that, I just drove home. I wanted to end it on a good run and plus, didn't wanna risk getting a ticket. :)

Actually, with that ET and that trap speed it looks like you got a super shitty launch. With you saying you got a great launch I'd have to say that the G-Tech is off. Your ET should be way quicker with that trap speed...

Dude........ to me, any launch that I don't sit there and bunny hop for 2 seconds is a good one. :D
the mph posted on a Gtech will be off of what a track calculates because the gtech gets the speed from the end of the quartermile, at a track they have two laser spread apart and calculate the time it takes to travel between the two to get a average speed in that section. so the Gtech is mainly only good for E.T.

Makes since.

All I was really curious about was the E.T.

Wow. That's a lot of questions. It wasn't mine. It belonged to a friend at work and he let me borrow it for a weekend.

I think the best thing for me to do would be to offer you this link.

http://www.gtechprosupport.com/support/

Download one of the user manuals and you should get the answers to most of those. There are also several other resources there for you to check out.

you feel my pain, eh?

I heard that lowering springs actually help out with the hopping. I hope to find out soon.
I used Goofyguys gtech thing and i also got a 14.6. I got a 13.7 with it my first time and i was like........hmmmmm... So i did it again and i got constant 14.4-15.0. Depended on my launch.

I sure hope so, maybe some motor mounts or at least some inserts. I keep thinking I am going to loose some fillings.
i've seen/used all kinds of stuff to stiffen up motor mounts...wood dowels(lasted longer than i expected), steel pipe nipples, hot glue, all kinds of stuff. a lot of turbododge guys fill their motor mounts in with that urethane goo for windshields and it apparently sticks and does the job. i used liquid nails in my last front mount, but it has just fallen out. worked great while it was in there. good smooth burnouts. also if your transmission has a bobble strut, you can cut open a piece of heater hose, wrap it around the plunger part, and hose clamp it to keep it from sliding in place. my buddy mike did this with his csx and noted a decrease in wheel hop.

Gtech is pretty accurate,

I borrowed a friend's and used it on my 92 talon when it was stock. I pulled a 14.9,15.0,14.8 on the gtech. I went to the track and pulled a 14.9 so it was pretty accurate. I remember my friend using it on his 2000 z28 and pulled a 13.9. Went to the track and he pulled a 13.9. It's pretty accurate just have to configure it CORRECTLY! Another friend configured it on his CRX wrong, he ran a 14.2 with a modded 1.6L SOHC VTEC I/H/E. It was funny, he swore it was correct. We had to burst his bubble!
