2004 and 2005 ion redline RECALL

I still haven't received this recal notification. Does it effect all Red Lines? Mine is an 04.

Yup... you should get one too, did you just get the car, or have you had it for a while?

I received my recall notice this week, and bought mine in November '04.

Yes I got it almost a month ago. It was before the recal notice though.

Bought mine in January, got the recall letter last friday (3/11/05). Getting it fixed Tuesday (3/22/05). I have an 04.

Just had mine fixed on Tuesday, took about 3 1/2 hours.

Wow! Letter said 90min. Was your car the 1st one that dealer did?

That sounds right, 3 hours that is, if you look at the sheet, the TSB, there is alot of things that they have to take loose, move outta the way, etc. Maybe 90 min if they pulled it in and started tearing it apart right away, but they need almost an hour for it to cool off enough to work on. Unless you live next door to the dealership!

Well, I work about 1 mile from the dealer. So it shouldn't be too hot when I drop it off. I have to take it to them at 1:00, I get off work at 4:00. But who's to say they will start on it right away. Maybe they will feed me dinner....lol

Yeah, I'm pretty sure our RedLine was the first one they did. But they gave a rental car so it wasn't too much of a hassle at all.
