Calling all redlines!! :)

Anyone planning on making it out the the big event this year in Lincoln, NE?

I will making the trek for the first time this year. Now that there is a class that I can be competitive in, SMF. We have 13 cars in class. We need 17 to keep the class around past 2011.

Don't let the Civics and Mini's scare you lol. Yes they are tough to beat, but our car can be competitive against them. I will prove it.....hopefully. I believe I have a solid shot at a trophy position.

Truck is ready. Trailer is ready. New r-comps on order. Can't frickin wait!!

14 cars registered in class. 8 are Honduh Civics....:indiffere

Raced last years national champ last weekend and was about 1.5 second off. Better than the 3-4 second off from last season. I know there is a ton of time to be found. Confidence is high. I am good at the 3 run format. No cones!!! Aiming for the top 5!

Leaving 4 am next Tuesday for Lincoln!!!

What are the rules for this class?
Similar to Street Modified. Only fwd cars. Minimum weights are a little more realistic, higher. I think an SM CRX would have to ballast to make SMF rules.

There is the 1.6 per liter adder for boosted cars. That makes the IRL minimum weight 1975lbs. The car can never hope of getting there, but with the power and good rubber under the car it can be competitive imo.

I run 245-40's in the front on 17x8's and 225-40's on the rear on 17x8's. The car is on rails, but still takes quite a bit of self control to drive fast.
