Turbo or NA?
2nd Gen Eagle Talon.....
Today I was out hunting again and came up on a Talon. I caught up with him, looked over at him and punched it. Then I slowed down and waited for him to catch up. We both gave each other the nod and took off from a 45mph roll. I completely dusted his ass. I mean, it was at least 10 lengths I pulled on him.
I let him catch up and rolled down the window. First thing he said was, "That's a bad mother fucker". I told him, "I thought you wanted to race?" and he said, "I was trying man. I just couldn't catch you."
We both laughed and right before I drove off told him, "Oh yeah, It's got a stock supercharger on it too." He shook his head and chuckled.

Yea im deffinently going to say he was non T. I can pull a mild pre-05 GT hard as long as we don't go above tripple digits. Im running about 13 psi and downpipe, test pipe, and autozone muffler. Oh yea filter. Iv'e surprised many people in this thing. I can even pull a car on my truck at a roll, just to tell you guys how fast my stock 14b turbo spools. But of course my truck can reel me in.

Isn't that a 210hp MAX output? What year is 2nd Gen? My girl has a 98 Eclipse, non-turbo, and I was pretty sure that the turbo was around 210? Given age, weight, and new technology, there should be no reason he can't run a turbo one. Not to mention most of the ones I see around here are complete pieces of shit! Even her car is falling apart with 75,000 miles on it.
Yea! Those are only 210 brand new stock.
From what i seen dsm's will nomally put down about 175 to the front wheels stock. But the key is in the exhaust. You open that up then it will jump to the 200 mark. I was seeing about 10.5 pounds of boost stock so with my current setup with me setting it at 15lbs i should be seeing about 220 or so. As soon as i get my valve seals replaced and new timing belt ill throw it on a dyno and see.
Not fast at all.... raced 3 styles, 1st gen talon tsi two toned paint black on gray modds front mount, bov, boost controler 5spd walked him from a 40 on the bridge .then a white 2nd gen fast and the furious style prob stock but did better then the tsi also from a roll. then a vr4 gelant grey who knows but i couldnt shake em but still got the W.
Its a shame i live in TN, i would love to give some of you boys a run. Where in relation are you to daytona beach. Iv'e got family(wife) down there and in a year or so im moving down there. Mods include mbc, downpipe, testpipe, muffler, k&n, walbro fuelpump, and a decent driver. I could take stock dsms pretty easy with my 97vert mustang, and i would say my dsm could take my mustang. I actually plan on putting a 50 shot on mine as soon as the factory warranty runs out (36K).
It's all part of the game my friend. NOS is not cheating. It's just another resource at our disposal to make our cars faster.
