Mine tachs 3000 at 75MPH. Seems about right for a 4 cyl.

My GTP w/ 3.69 gears tachs about 2800-3000 can't remember exactly.

Mine tachs 3000 RPM @ 75 MPH too. The ecotec in my 02 sunfire gt w/4spd auto runs 80 MPH @ 3000 RPM, I have run this from Oh to FL and the 2.2 Eco hums along real nice at this RPM. I wish the redline would be geared for this also, it would help gas milage, too. The sunfire automatic gets 33 mpg on trips, so far Redline is sucking gas at the rate of 23 MPG.

It has to do with the gear ratios.

Ya. In 5th gear, I'm pulling @ 3K rpm 75-80 ish.

These cars really could use a 6th gear.

Doood. One gas take full I got 220, next gas tank got 260+ (120 of that was pure hwy), next about 210.

What gives? I coulda bought that 04' GTO and got the same gas milage w/ more HP!!

:p
