04 Ion Redline. 68,xxx miles. Interested in bypassing the factory passlock system. All I need to know is what version of passlock do our cars have? Is it Passlock II or Passlock III. I tried calling my local saturn dealership but they didn't have the answer. I already have an aftermarket security system installed with starter disable so it renders the Passlock pretty much useless. However I have recently encountered the no crank, full power issue and instead of replacing the ignition switch I would rather just bypass the passlock.
Second question. SLP this is a header for a 2005-2007 Cobalt SS. SLP this is the exhaust portion that also goes on a 2005-2007 Cobalt SS.
I know the engine and drive train are the same. Is the undercarrage of the Ion and SS the same or will I need to go with a different setup? If its the same is it the exact same or would I need to adjust the hangers accordingly? And any opinions on these products?
