About to buy a new Redline...

Hi everyone, my name is Domenic and I'm about to head over to my local Saturn Dealership, Saturn of Lewisville, here in texas tomorrow morning. They have 2 Redlines I wanted to look over. I've been in the market for 2 weeks looking for a car and the redline seems very reasonable for the price. I just had a few questions I wanted to direct to the redline owners in this forum. Overall, do you like the stock performance on the redline? Are you happy with your purchase? I am looking for something reliable, fun, fast, decent options, and of course affordable and the Redline seems to be a good choice. Plus, its black (my last 2 cars were black...a 1992 Cavalier and a 2002 Grand Am GT). I'm trading in the GT for something smaller and better on gas. Any insight and/or suggestions about the redline and its performance/reliability is appreciated. Thanks again.

i personally love the car could not be more happy with my choice preforms great stock even better with some cheap little mods. How much are are they charging for the RL's and what year
its a 2005 and going for $21,850. Thats seems pretty reasonable. Anyone know the invoice price on this car?
Redline>>>>>>>Grand Am GT

What she said! :D
I love my car.

A bit of problems with the tranny leaking in the beginning but once they replaced it I have had ZERO problems.

If you get the RL, we need to hook up. There are a couple of other guys on here from the DFW area as well.

Try and talk them down a bit. It never hurts.

Saturn says they are "no haggle" but I got the deal that I wanted on my '04.

I bought mine at the Lewisville location also. I wanted incentives AND 0% and said they couldn't do that so I walked out and told them to call me when they are ready to sell a car.

Two days later, I got a call. :D So you never know. ;)

If your passive about this, but serious about the approach, it does work. :D
Just buy it...I love myne. Terrible in the snow!!

But will tell you I got mine for $16000 w/2K miles and what a deal..
The only real downside to the car is the lack of aftermarket support, and that is just killing me.

Exactly. You don't have to be an ass, but just let them know what you want and that you are not willing to budge much, if any at all.

will have to do! i wait till monday guys, i'm sleeping on it and going to check with my credit union, which should be no problem with them....oh and JPK, does your redline have the moonroof on it, because since you bought a black '04 at the same lot, i think that was the one i was looking at last year on their lot when i became interested in them...thanks for the advice guys. wish me luck!
yeh def talk them down....got mine with 3500 miles on it for 15,9 fully loaded..
We have 4 Red Line's as well as a EFX Ion.......do I need to say more? :D
If you end up with one, us DFW/TX guys might be in a run against the Springhill FL for most RL's in one area. :p

No. No sunroof.

Mine is black with red pin stripe.
I am going tomorrow to talk to a dealer too....they still have like 6-8 04 RL's in stock...giving from 4-5750 back... If I can get in a blue one for as much as I am paying on my car now (02 focus)..They will have a deal.
How likely do you think I am to get a RL? I have a 99 gmc sonoma worth about 2,500 cause of the miles and I owe about 5,000 on it so im backwards on it if you know what that means I owe more then its worth, I figure I'm going to put 3,000 down and I have poor credit about a 530 I think maybe 630 and I make 16.50 a hour 40 hours a week. What are my chances of getting one and what do you think my payments would be? Thanks
mr casual, I have terrible credit but the Saturn salesman gave me enough incentives to get in my 04 RL, but they asked for another $1k down to get me in I said no thanks. They called me the next day and said never mind come pick it up. Again I have baaaaaaaaaaaaad credit so mine payments are around high 400's but that is with 17% APR. Would not think about paying that much with another car though. They will work with you
