I took of the fake grill in the front bumper cover, and replace that with real grill, made some space to bring my air intake right at the front. took of the factory air filter in the box and ad a k&n behind the grill. Thinking ill have better flow of air. Probleme is the check engine light did come on as soon as i floored it on the road. I recheck everything been connect properly butt still
it`s like if the mass air flow is been detecting something wrong.
Is anybody have an idea how to avoid that (check engine)?

Thanks for the tips but after that with the same set up everything been ok in your case.
I did re-install the factory filter in the box , and everything had been ok.
Did try few days later to take of the box, put back the tube down to the fender with the filter at the end again same s*it again. Kept the maf at the original place . Got   and again put that back like had been supposed at the factory. Just dont understand what is happening, the only thing i can come up with is the quantity of air im raming in that way.But i`m sure many of you got similar set up .

have you tried to disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 minutes to reset the ECU? it helps the ECU adjust to the extra air. K&N's instructions say to do that when you install an intake kit.

Are you leaving the factory box in??? if so your problably not getting enough direct airflow to the sensor. Cause all the air is getting swirled around in the box. Just a thought.
