Anyone Ever take off the Stock header???

Just curious if anyone has ever taken off the stock header to see how it looks inside. Or if the ports are smaller then the ports on the head or vice versa. I might try to remove in Wednesday as long as it isn't to cold out to take a look and maybe do a little porting.

I know that there has been some work on our exhaust manifolds compared to a regular 2.2, but not sure how much. I think someone has discussed this before, maybe do a search, see if there was any good info in the thread...
Nope the same, at nopi race wars they had a cross section of the lsj 2.0s/c and it was the same one "header" give or take a mm or cm. at the collector it is almost half mooned almost like this ------> ( D ) sucks dont it. I know our power stops there. free it up and we are in buisness. hins the s/c dyne header. where is it anyway LOL

So it was a little different right? Or are you saying that it was EXACTLY the same? It's one of the advertised differences.
Ill take it off Wed and take a few pics and see how bad it is.
I wouldn't say that it's bad...it's a typical casting. There's flash and lots of grain. You could definitely improve performance by cleaning up and gasket matching. The lower studs are a little bit of a pain to get on, but the top ones aren't bad. To make things easier, lift the car first and disconnect the heat shield at the bottom. Then lower the car back down and take off the heat sheild. Then go nuts! Good luck!
Could you

Could you fit a high performance 2.2L header on to the 2.0L?
