Bad reaction....UPDATE

Was driving home for lunch with my husband today. We were at a light behind a VW something or other (older model, discontinued) waiting for it to change. In the opposite lanes there was a VW GTI. When the light changed and we passed each other he rolled down the window can gave a thumbs down at us!! WHATEVER!!

I don't know if it was the 180hp or the 200hp model, but I can't wait to see that guy again...but next time hopefully it will be at a light SIDE BY SIDE.

Anyone else getting any flack for having a RL? Some people are just LAME

I've actually rev'd at dudes just to have them laugh at me. Then after the race, they won't even look my way at the next stop light. And I debadged my trunk so they are even more baffled when I hand them their ass. I LOVE my car.

The only trouble I've had was a leaky tranny. Finally, after about 9 service visits and 3 rental cars, They put a new one in it. No trouble since.

I live in Lake Orion, just north of Auburn Hills. This occurred by Great Lakes Mall...we were going northbound on Joslyn and he was going southbound, turning east onto Brown Rd from Joslyn. Well, so I guess it was more by Sams Club, Meijers. Not sure if you know the area. I know I have seen that GTI before too. Cant wait to see him again....

Detroit Redline Owners

Hey we should all get together one of these days. We all seem to be fairly close to each other. Could go out and mess with all the high school kids in their civics. Like I said, I'm in Utica So were ever when ever. We can take a look at what each other has done and get some ideas. Auto Rama is comming up maybe then?

Well finally met up with the GTI owner who "BOOOED" at us a couple months ago. Flew around him and took off fast...he did catch up and pulled up next to us at a light in the left turn lane. Wasn't as big of a dick as I thought he would be but my husband asked how fast his car was and what its 0-60 times were...alls his response was "faster than that thing" then the light turned and he took off.

LAME! Couldn't even give some numbers on his car. But he lives down the street from us so we will probably catch up to him again. I want to take him to the track...ha!

I read a review somewhere (can't remember where though) that these things are pretty good when it comes to turbo lag (as in not much lag). So it should be a good race, but I don't see why you couldn't take him stock.

Well it sounded like he may have switched out the mufflers but I don't know if/what he did anything to the engine. He de-badged it and tinted the windows but other than that I have no clue. He didn't seem to want to discuss anything either.

Maybe he just got burned by a Saturn before and thats why he has been so pouty towards our car
