Boost Guages Installed (~620 miles) - Added: Video and pics

I've installed my pillar and boost guage today, got 8 PSI and ~10 PSI near the cut-off! I only have 620 miles so I can't wait to raise at 11-12 PSI! :D

edited for video/pics :
My bling bling ractive boost guage (with sun that make bad pics...) :

nka you should be reading round 12 psi stock. well what boost gauge you got? the one that you have to splice the hose?

yup... I've splice the hose that goes on the top of the SC

I got ~10 PSI (maybe more) near the cut-off

people told me that 8 psi is on break in! I will raise to 12 psi later so it's all normal ?

Around what RPM I should get 12 PSI ?
dam I hate waiting, not guage assembly or cabling kit yet. I am interest to see what my boost is before I add the alky kit

That's not right....

Did you splice into the line coming right from the manifold?? That's the one you want in my opinion. That's the one that is directly connected to where the boost 'is'.

You're car dosen't limit boost at a mileage limit, mine sure didn't.
spooners right who ever told you that lied i had my boost gauge in at 400miles and 12psi... the only thing i am thinking it the temp outside is killing some of your boost.... down here in HOT days i lose about a lb
Yea, there's days I dont' get much over 10.... MOST of the time it's hitting 12 now... it gets to 10 quickly though...

I would check all your lines again, and move the boost gauge to the line that's directly connected to the manifold.

It could be that the ECU has had some slight program changes between 04 and 05. I've noticed on our 05 that the boost in first gear goes to about 8 lbs at approximately 3800 rpm then just south of 4000 rpm's it drops instantly to zero and stays there at higher RPM's. In second, and third it appears to keep rising though I've not had it over 5500 RPM yet and will probably not take it beyond about 5500 until it's got 1500 miles or so on the odometer. So far I've not seen more than 10 lbs on the comp. package boost gage, but as said, I've not taken it beyond 5500 rpm yet....

Updated the pics... and as Lin said, maybe it's a change on the 05 version ?

I also notice that I LOOSE all of my boost in 1st gear at about 4000rpm
im tapping 12 all the time.
I have an '05....
i have an '05 and hit 12 when it's dry and 10 when its humid
From the video it looked like he hit 11psi.
11 psi but only at the FAR END

Today, I got 10 PSI a ~12 PSI near the cut-off! The wierd things is, yesterday it was coller than today!
weather plays a huge factor. Heat will make lower boost. During the winter you will see 12-13 all the time
Need a way to better cooling then!

It's the MAF that tell the ECU to lower the boost ?
also you wont see 12psi in any gear at 3-4000 its always towards the top end that youll see it at 12-13 psi.

The ECM/PCM is different between the 04 and 05 but the 1st gear boost restriction is on the 04 and 05, also next time you are out, get to third gear and stand on it. It will go to 10 real quick and by about 56-5700 you should start to edge 12.

ohh nice to know!

btw, going to push more! wishing PSI-FI do a DYI since I'm living in Canada!
