Hey all i was at my local dealer today and was looking at a redline they had 3 left one black, one silver, and my fav. a Blue one! i looked at the blue one it was in showroom sat in it and thought to myself who need a cobalt SS. my only problem is I just turned 18 and have little or NO credit? if I get a co signer what would the payment be if he has perfect credit?

here is the pricing the 2 out side were under 17,000 the one i wanted was 17,5++ is that a good price and it didnt have sunroof so do you think i can talk it down more? i was thinking of puttign 3000 down and see what happens i may not have good credit but i good job :p

Also can you buy a better warranty i dont like the 3 year 30,000 mile warranty that sounds like crap! but after seeing pics of all your redline's i've grown on them, because the cobalt still hasnt come out yet :( whcih has mad me tired of waiting

thanks alot chris glas to be on fourms

I got mine at the same place, but they had six when I started looking at them. Got one of the black ones with 6-disk stereo and sunroof that cost me $18+, then spent another $1,235 for an extended warranty. (Everything I've ever read says not to get the extended warranty, but I seem to talk myself into it about half the time.) So if my experience is any indication, your $17+ price tag ain't outrageous. And "no haggle" still means no haggling (mostly); if you want a better deal, you'll have to go find another Saturn dealer who doesn't follow the general rule.

I didn't put any cash down, but I traded in a '97 SL2. Got $2,300 for that. Payments are going to be about $340 a month.

I'm old -- OOOOOLD -- so I get my insurance cheap. I've got State Farm insurance with maximum collision limits plus some additional options, minus multicar and "good driver" discounts. I'll pay about $940 a year.

you can buy mine I will let ya. with oyour down itll be 320 a month Simple math for ya to figure out a ball park. On a 5 year just double the number to get the payment and move the decimal over 2 places. For instance. the car is 20,000. the rough payment on a 3.9 or so will be 400.00 for 5 years

10000.00 will be 200.00 and so on. Just a little help when you out shoppin

I pay $363/month now and I financed almost 23k. When I bought my Durango for 14g's my payments were $265. I didnt finance through Saturn b/c I would've gotten like 12% interest so I went through my bank (PSECU - for any of those PA people) and my interest is 5.49% for 72 months

about the cobalt ss...i talked to a dealer today, and they arent even expecting to have an ss till the end of april. they will be getting a few 2dr's in 'soon', but none of them will be the supercharged model. all that hype about the car, and they have yet to deliver, id like to see what this does to their sales.

Wait for the Competition Package. It will be available to order in a couple more weeks.
One Word to remember. LSD
you are able to order it now. just tell your dealer, they will place an image for you, and will build it with the comp. package on there (when it becomes available). it carries a price tag of 1470 as well.

my 05 redline (which is waiting to be built) is black, has the comp. package, adv. audio, sunroof, and aero wing. priced at 24315. they are giving me about 7 for my trade, so i am paying sales tax on about 17ish. they also have something for qualified buyers, which is 0%/60 months with a 3yr/36kmile bumper-bumper warranty. *note, mine should be built before wednesday, becuase i had one of the first pre-ordered redlines with the comp. package (or my dealer could just be blowing smoke up my arse), but anyways, the package itself becomes available on monday, and i 'think' if you have an 04, you can just pay the parts dept. at your local saturn to to slap it on for you at cost. but youll probably be looking at a sticker price of around 1700 or so..but thats just my guess?

you being 18, your insurance is going to be fairly high. i will be forking out about 390/month alone in car payments for mine. so if you can do that, you might be able to talk to a parent/guardian about them paying your insurance for you.
