Calling any Techs

Wanted to see if anyone else has had trouble pulling PCM calibration numbers for 04 Redlines via the tech 2. I've been throwing lean codes and am trying to find out if the newest calibration is taking or not. The procedures on the TSB are pointing towards menus that do not exist on the tech 2 under the 2.0 powertrain, the menus do exist however for the 2.2. No one here can figure out why. If I can't get any info here tonight, I'll be calling TAC tomorrow. Also, has anyone seen Redlines come in with what appears to be a massive oil leak (Oil on Supercharger, Valve Cover, Timing Chain Cover, Oil Pan, Radiator Support, and the left side of the hood liner.) I noticed this saturday, oil level was full, cleaned up mess, no trace of leak today. Put dye in to check later in the week. The only conclusion we could make at the dealer is that it definately was not the Cam Sensor. Anyone seen anything like this? Thanks. Bill

I never bother navigating to the 2.0L Powertrain>Module Information to even check to see! I just hook up and go straight to SPS "Pass-though" and TIS will show you if you have the original calibration or the updated file (as I'm sure you're aware there has only been ONE update released for the RL-despite misinformation to the contrary)

If it shows the updated calibration file 12597977 (04) or 12598558 (05) as "SELECTED" and NEXT button "lit", then it still needs the reflash. It saves a bit of time as then you're already to go... :D
(see screenshot below)
What version of the TECH2 are you using? 25.002 by chance?
There are numerous bulletins regarding missing TECH2 menus in 25.002
Use TIS2WEB to update your TECH2 to 25.003 (released 04-28-05)
I havnt looked on a RL yet but supposedly the "missing" menus are back.

Oh on the oil leak
Havnt seen any "gross" leakers...
Did you mean to say it sprayed up onto the RIGHT hand side of the hood liner? (front of engine??)

Yes that's exactly how the screen looks, I've reflashed 3 times now and it never seems to recognize that the update was done. I updated the tech 2 on monday to V 25.002, I'll have to look tomorrow to see if 25.003 is available, then hopefully I can read the calibration # currently installed. As far as the oil leak goes, it soaked the left side of the hood liner if you were standing in from of the car. However, no sign of any leaks since then. I only got around to the cam sensor recall today, but no one in the shop believes a leak there would spew oil to all of those compartment locations, I guess it could be possible. Now that the recall is done, I'll just drive it a few days and see if any oil turns up again. It looked like a massive leak, but the oil level was never below full, actually overfilled slightly. I wonder if it was overfilled from the factory and the pressure built up enough to blow some through the seals.

OK
So if you can hit NEXT and it will progresses normally to the "Transferring Data" screen (for about 10 minutes) then to the "Programming Complete" screen- that's about all the confirmation you need right??

As far as the oil leak, maybe someone had a "spill"??
