This information has been out to the public for sometime. Though alot of searching has to be done to find it. Im merely bringing it up to the public and putting pretty pictures to words and adding a little info to it. :D

Not sure if you still get on here much but thanks a million for this info. It was a lifesaver for me. Car was idling like it had a horrible vac leak till i made these timing changes. Now it holds solid enough to actually get some good scan info!!!

Careful with the high idle code for those of you that tune in cams in the future. Mine threw it twice and started pulling spark and fuel like crazy. Save yourself a headache and disable it until you get the airflow tuned in.

Everytime I ever had a car get high idle was a vac leak some weres most the time it was injector seal problem. Others was the ls4 leaking cause of improper sealing. You do boost leak test?

I noticed in a log yesterday that i lost about a half a pound from probably 5000-6900... I sprayed brake clean around each injector with no change in idle, and used new insulators when i put the head on last weekend. I will take a closer look though, thanks for the info.

How exactly did you do that? Some kind of adapter on the front of the blower?

well i think my injectors might be shot. i took everything off and re sealed it with permatex gasket dressing, even re siliconed the injector insulators and injectors. a slight change but not much.

while doing maf tuning today, i noticed that my car isn't coming out of PE, my injectors are just going bat shit crazy. 79's. I have the data to put in my 1000's monday and its a good thing.

by 6000 rpm my IDC was 104% running a 1.3 eq ratio (about 11.3 afr if gas) and they were going static well before then.
blower is exactly the same as before the head swap (2.8, ported inlet matched to ls4), and a couple weeks ago i did a log and the highest IDC i saw was about 85% and its not even full e85 yet lol. this sucker is moving a metric shitload more air!!!

i can't wait to get the id1000's in and my ported blower w/ 2.6........

Normally i run 12-12.5 once tuned in i just like to use 11.3 for tuning so i have a little more warning of a lean spike.
I just put my last tune back on after i saw the injectors going static. Not going to mess with it anymore till i get the 1000's in.
