Anyone experiencing a sticking clutch pedal? I have to drive in a lot of stop & go traffic each day. After about 10-15 minutes of driving my clutch begins to become difficult to push in and sometimes sticks upon release. The dealer told me they think this is normal, because the RL uses a heavy duty clutch/pressure plate. Any ideas?

That's BS. Talk to the service mgr. Most of my driving is highway but in the almost 4 months I've had mine, I've never encountered that & it wouldn't be expected with a heavy-duty clutch...it would just give more resistance if that were the case.

Yeah, that's BS. That is not normal, heavy duty clutch will give alot of resistance like Hyperion said. I use to have a ACT 2600 clutch on my DSM, geezus my left leg got way bigger than my right!

It sounds like you have air in your clutch system. I'm not that familar with Redline's clutch system but I would check your clutch slave cyclinder first, it may be going out or needs to be bleed.

Hmmm, I guess you would never have made it driving my '55 chevy with the Hays 3800 Lb pressure plate. 302 SBC, Muncie M-52 4 spd, 4.11 posi, it ran 14.20s on G-78 tiger paws and 13.27 (Best) on 9" slicks - both open headers. In traffic, the clutch leg would quiver on long lights, :( but at the right RPM it would bark the tires going into 4th gear. :)

I had a built '76 TransAm with the Muncie 4-speed, I refused to drive between 3:30pm and 5pm because it would hurt so bad.

not even normal, i drive through at least 30 minutes of stop and go twice a day and never had it stick on me, try and figure out how to duplicate the problem BEFORE you take it back to them to save you the hassle of coming and going to them

Vita, thanks for the idea. I'm not sure I want to continue using this dealership. I bought my RL from a dealer four hours away and none of the local dealerships want to work on it (they're all owned by the same company). I have been traveling an hour to this dealer, but they never seem to fix anything. I have an ongoing squeak in the rear seat latch and even though they hear it they have not been able to cure the problem. I've had it there on three different occassions and it's spent over two weeks with them (with no loaner). I think I need them to start making a portion of my payments for me!
