how do you know what the "NEW" one is? about a month ago i had mine in for damage from an accident, and they took it to the shop for a check engine light, when i picked it up they said they updated my PCM. on the bill it said OBD2 upgrade with some numbers. is there a certain # for the new one?

Does the SS have the same transmission as the RL? If it's different, that may be the reason you're seeing higher numbers with the Cobalt *cough* swap *cough*. I've never known Chevy to mess up a performance car.

should be all the same, F35 and all. it's even got the same shift knob from what i know. either way, it coincides with what the techs told me about getting "way" more power after the update. they told me the '04s get wheel hop when the '05s just spin the tires, so i'll take there word for it. i'm getting it done with an oil change and tire rotation tommorow night, so we'll see if she just breaks loose or not

screw it, im hitting the dyno tomorrow, i just want a pre modding baseline. ill let you all know but this should be the latest and greatest considering it was done around the beginning of april.

Has anyone with a 2005 dynoed their car yet? I know quite a few 2004 RLs put down 210 before the software upgrade.
