Has anyone here considered diamond coating or some other protective finish for their Redline? I haven't called around any businesses yet because I don't think they'll give me an unbiased opinion but I would appreciate any info on anybody's experience with protecting their paint. I'm concerned about the polymer panels and high speed buffing and the process involved with diamond coating etc. Maybe my fears are unfounded? Maybe I shouldn't even be doing this on a new car?
If you use a high-quality polymer/wax, it protects the paint very well. Look into Zaino or Meguiar's NXT. Both are polymers that are pretty easy to apply. I use Zaino on my Camaro, and will be using it on the Ion Redline pretty soon.
